LESTO to amend electricity prices and application procedure

Lithuania's power distribution network operator LESTO adopted a decision to amend its previous prices for public electricity and their application procedures, prices for electricity transportation service and their application procedures, also the methods for differentiation of prices for public electricity, the company said in a statement.

On December 28, 2012, National Control Commission for Prices and Energy adopted a decision to publish the amendments of LESTO prices for electricity transportation service and public electricity and their application procedures as adopted by Board on December 27, 2012, Previous prices (before amendments) were published and effective based on decision of Commission No O3-366 as of November 22, 2012.

In addition, Commission adopted a decision to approve the amendments to the methods for differentiation of prices for public electricity of LESTO as adopted by Board on December 27, 2012.

Due to the decisions of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania No 1536 as of December 19, 2012, No 1537 as of December 19, 2012, No 1538 and decisions of Commission No O3-418 as of December 21, 2012, No O3-419 as of December 21, 2012, No O3-420 as of December 21, 2012, and No O3-421 as of December 21, 2012, which caused a change of public service obligations price and change of principles of payment for public service obligations set for in legal acts, also due to changes of other constituent parts of electricity price compared with the 2012: public electricity prices for household customers increase by an average of 4 cents/kWh (including VAT); electricity transportation service prices for business customers that receive electricity from medium-voltage electricity networks increase an average of2,4 cents/kWh (VAT not included), for th
