Submission date for Non-Binding phase of Open Season procedure for GIPL extended

Following the first requests received from the market players by 14 August 2015, indicating interest in Gas Interconnection Poland-Lithuania (GIPL) capacity, the Polish and Lithuanian gas transmission system operators, Gas Transmission Operator Gaz-System S.A. and AB Amber Grid, have jointly agreed to extend the submission date of the Capacity Request Forms for the Non-Binding phase of the Open Season procedure, which was started in July 31 2015, Amber Grid reports.

On Wednesday, the Estonian Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure Kristen Michal and the Finnish Minister of Economic Affairs Olli Rehn held a phone conversation, and both ministers reaffirmed that they will continue executing actions agreed upon in the plan on uniting the gas market, as concluded between the prime ministers of the two countries in November, reported the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications.
